There are currently a number of Manager and Coaching posts available within the Provincial Talent Programme.

As these posts involve working with players under the age of 18, the successful candidates will have to satisfy all child safeguarding requirements.

Please note that these are voluntary positions, however travel expenses will be paid and the successful candidates will have access to ongoing support throughout the season from Ulster Rugby staff.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A RUGBY COACH?

The Donegal Community Rugby Project is looking to run a series of coaching courses in Donegal during
May and June aimed at attracting new coaches to the game at club and school level. The courses will be
aimed at beginners to the game at mini and youth level. For more information or to express an interest

IRFU Mini Rugby – Coaching at U7 to U12 Level girls and boys
IRFU Foundation – Coaching from U13 to U19 Level girls and boys

I.R.F.U. Fitness Courses 2010

(1) I.R.F.U. Certified Conditioning Coach Course. - This is a five day course that covers all aspects of physical conditioning with a strong practical content. The tutors are IRFU conditioning staff and invited conditioning specialists. To be accredited you must be working with a team or a group of rugby players. You have a choice of venues and dates -

University of Ulster, Jordanstown

Date – 28/6/10 to 2/7/10
 

(2) I.R.F.U. / I.A.WL.A. Weightlifting Level 1 - This is a two weekend Level 1 course that covers the functional screen, weightlifting flexibility assessment, Clean/Power Clean, Snatch/Power Snatch, Clean & Jerk. A coach who completes the course successfully will be able to introduce the lifts to a player. To be accredited you must be working with a rugby team or a group of rugby players. The details so far are as follows -
Date - (8th & 9th of May 2010) & (26th & 27th of June 2010)
